Dubai Transit Guide for Pakistani Travellers: What to Do During a 6–12 Hour Layover
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is the world's busiest international airport and the most common transit hub for Pakistani travellers flying to Europe, the US, and other destinations. SHORT LAYOVER (3–5 HOURS): Stay airside and explore Dubai Airport's incredible facilities. Terminal 3 (used by Emirates) features the world's largest duty-free shopping area, a Zen garden with spa facilities, sleeping pods, a gym, swimming pool, and multiple restaurants. The Emirates Business Class lounge (accessible with certain ticket classes or lounge membership) offers showers, buffet dining, and quiet rest areas. MEDIUM LAYOVER (6–9 HOURS): You have enough time for a quick city visit if your passport allows UAE visa-free entry (Pakistani passport holders need a pre-arranged visa for visiting the city, but transiting passengers staying airside do not need a visa).
